Dog of the Month Spotlight: Thais
Thais and her mom, Cathy, came to Angel K-9 in the summer of 2009. At the time Cathy was wondering if she had made a mistake by adopting the then rambunctious and nippy Thais. After their initial session, Cathy was reassured that with proper training and guidance, she and Thais would be fine. After completing Angel K-9′s Basic Obedience Class, Cathy and Thais enrolled in Rally 1 and after a few weeks Cathy was amazed at the depth their relationship was experiencing. They continued into Rally 2 and began competing, earning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place honors along the way. And, in June 2011 the pair became the first Angel K-9 handler/dog team to earn their ARCH (APDT Rally Champion). We are proud of this achievement and especially proud of the amazing relationship that Cathy and Thais have grown into – a true embodiment of what Angel K-9 believes “Obedience Through Relationship”.
